The 0.8x reducer can bring the focal ratio of the Askar 140APO to F5.6. This is a standard gearbox with field flattening capability. A shorter focal ratio allows the OTA to have a wider field of view and faster exposure times, making it suitable for capturing large areas of nebulae, star clusters and faint, fast-moving celestial objects.
The 0.8x reducer adopts a triplet design and supports a 44mm full-frame image circle. The total weight is 0.75 kg. The back focus from the M48 thread is a standard 55mm. The front thread is M841. At the camera end, it is equipped with adapters of two sizes: M540.75 and M480.75, which are convenient for connection. At the same time, it has a built-in 2-inch M480.75 filter thread, which can be directly installed and used. The entire body is CNC machined, with threaded metal caps on both ends to prevent dust when not in use.
