TS 76EDPH 6-element FPL53 Flatfield Apochromat
The TS-Optics 76EDPH is intended for astrophotographers and nature photographers who also like to observe through a high-class apo. The refractor convinces by its solid mechanical workmanship and by its high-quality 3-element FPL53 lens. The image is free of annoying chromatic aberration. The 3-element corrector has been specially developed for this apo and produces a purecolor, corrected image field with 44 mm diameter, ideal for full-frame cameras. The fast focal ratio of f/4.5 allows short exposure times. The 76EDPH is a powerful and portable travel apo for astrophotography and observation.
Connecting cameras to the apo:
Simply screw the 2.5" image field corrector into the focuser. An M48x0.75 thread is available on the camera side of the corrector. The working distance from this thread to the camera sensor is exactly 55 mm. This is ideal for all astro cameras and DSLR / SLR cameras. Matching T-rings can be found in the accessories section. The corrector also has a 2" filter thread in front of the camera mount.
Mounting the TS 76EDPH on mounts and photo tripods
The CNC tube ring has a GP and EQ5 style dovetail bar at the base. You can attach the telescope to the appropriate quick couplings of mounts and travel mounts such as the Skywatcher Star Adventurer. Matching saddle plates can be found in the accessories section. In addition, the bar also has a 1/4" photo thread. The apo fits, like a telephoto lens, directly onto any photo tripod.
The carrying handle is a real multifunctional part
The handle not only facilitates mounting on the photo tripod, it is also the basis for further adaptations. The handle has an oblong hole and a 1/4" photo tripod thread. For example, you can mount a ball head on it and mount a second camera in parallel. Next to the carrying handle there is a finder shoe for finder scopes, mini telescopes or sighting devices.
Observation with the TS 76EDPH
Of course, the triplet objective which is free from chromatic aberration also provides an excellent basis for observation. The high-contrast image also provides a clear image at daytime, for example when observing birds. At night, the aperture of 76 mm shows also the crater landscape at the moon or also exciting details on the planets of the solar system. Many thousands of deep-sky objects are also within the reach of the apo. You can use 1.25" and 2" accessories such as a 2" star diagonal mirror.
