SkyWatcher Newton Explorer 200/1000 PDS
Télescope Skywatcher Newton 200/1000 Explorer
Newton telescopes are often recommended for those starting out in astronomy because they combine high diameter (and therefore light gathering capacity) at a low cost. The Sky-Watcher Newton 200/1000 f5 telescope is probably the most used Newtonian in the world as it offers all these features associated with an unexpected optical and mechanical quality for such an economical product. In fact it offers a high optical quality that will allow you to see and photograph many objects of the Universe, combined with a quality mechanic that includes an excellent 50,8mm diameter Crayford focuser with micrometric focusing 1:10. Perfect for visual use on a frame at least EQ5, we recommend a model EQ6-R for photographic use.
Thanks to its 200mm diameter, this telescope opens up new possibilities for those looking for a powerful tool, but with a reasonable price. Compared to a 150mm diameter telescope, it collects 78% more light so it allows you to observe or photograph many more details, even weak objects such as galaxies or nebulae. Furthermore, thanks to the larger diameter, you can generate larger magnifications and observe finer details. Thanks to a small secondary mirror and to the spiders (the supports) of the secondary itself, the images maintain a high contrast even at high magnifications.
The SkyWatcher Newton 200/1000 f5 telescope features a solid Crayford 50.8mm diameter focuser with 31.8mm reducer and 1:10 fine focus, better than that of similar telescopes from other brands. It therefore allows both to use wide-angle 50.8mm diameter eyepieces (to obtain low magnifications and large framed fields) and to connect rooms equipped with large sensors (such as digital SLRs): in this case we recommend the use of the AOCORR coma corrector for f / 5 telescopes that flattens the field.
The SkyWatcher Newton 200/1000 f5 telescope is supplied as standard with Vixen type support rings and dovetail bar, together with 25mm and 10mm eyepieces, a 50.8mm fitting with 31.8mm adapter and the 9 × 50 finder.
Compatible with coma corrector cod. AOCORR.
