The ID-50E is a VHF/UHF dual band radio that can operate in D-STAR and FM analog modes.
It can simultaneously receive V/V, U/U and V/U, FM broadcast radio stations from 76 to 108 MHz, the aviation band from 108 to 174 MHz with 8.33 kHz spacing and 375 to 479 MHz.
The extended DR (D-STAR Repeater) function simplifies communications on the D-STAR (Digital Smart Technologies for Amateur Radio) network.
In combination with the integrated GPS, you can easily select the available local repeater based on your location.

The ID-50E is equipped with a large, high-brightness backlit display that allows clear and well-defined reading of the characters and icons both in low light conditions and in full sunlight.

Furthermore, the intuitive user interface and the combined use of the directional keys and the function keys, all backlit, guarantee simple and immediate use of the device.

The Waterfall Display function allows you to have a detailed overview of the band in which you are operating, to detect even the weakest signals and to view the variation in intensity of a signal over time.

The ID-50E can be used in “Terminal Mode” or “Access Point Mode”.

When the apparatus is connected to the Internet via a Windows® PC or an Android device, the Internet gateway (using Terminal Mode or Access Point Mode) allows access to the D-STAR repeater network, even from areas where no repeater D-STAR is directly accessible by radio.

The Dualwatch function allows you to monitor VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF, VHF/UHF bands simultaneously and quickly answer a call from the main and sub bands.
The only exception is DV/DV mode which cannot be listened to simultaneously.

Other features include 500 memory channels, a micro SD card slot for storing data, images, voice recording function and a multifunctional USB Type-C™ port.
