The Icom CX-10G is a high-precision transverter designed to extend the operating range of the IC-905 into the 10 GHz band. The unit is installed directly on the mast, close to the antennas, to minimize cable length and significantly reduce RF loss.
IF Looping for Simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 10 GHz Operation
To enable concurrent operation on 2.4 GHz and 10 GHz, the CX-10G features an integrated IF loop-through system. It includes a dedicated IF connector for 2.4 GHz and two separate antenna connectors: one for 10 GHz and one for 2.4 GHz.
High-Accuracy 10 MHz Reference Clock
The transverter provides an input for a 10 MHz reference clock, ensuring maximum signal stability and frequency accuracy. When used with the IC-905, the reference is supplied by the RF unit’s GPSDO, although external reference sources may also be used when required.
Control and Integration with IC-905
