The Kenwood TS-890SE is a high-end HF/50 MHz/70 MHz transceiver engineered to deliver exceptional sensitivity, stability, and signal purity even in the most demanding operating conditions. Designed for serious amateur radio operators, it provides advanced DSP processing, precision roofing filters and a high-dynamic-range receiver architecture for superior on-air performance.
This is the first Kenwood model to feature full support for the 4-meter band (70 MHz). The signal chain includes four built-in roofing filters (500 Hz, 2.7 kHz, 6 kHz, 15 kHz), with an optional 270 Hz filter available for extreme CW contest and high-interference conditions.
The large 7-inch TFT color display provides excellent readability and includes:

The TS-890SE delivers a clean, stable 100 W output (50 W on 70 MHz) and integrates a high-speed automatic antenna tuner for precise and fast matching.
