The Wouxun KG-UV980P is a high-performance quad band mobile transceiver designed for radio operators who require flexibility, reliability, and powerful communication capabilities. Covering 26–29.995 MHz, 50–53.995 MHz, 136–173.995 MHz, and 400–470.995 MHz, it offers wide frequency coverage for both mobile and base operations.
Equipped with a dual-frequency display and independent dual operating systems, the KG-UV980P allows simultaneous reception on two bands (Twin Band) or on the same band. It provides 999 memory channels, eight reception bands, and four transmission bands (including SW), ensuring maximum versatility and high performance in all conditions.
The detachable front panel allows flexible vehicle installation, while the DTMF hand microphone with built-in speaker ensures convenient operation. Additional advanced functions include QT/DOT encoding and decoding, custom CTCSS/DCS tone settings, multiple scanning modes, and 8 scrambler groups for enhanced communication security.
The APO power management system improves energy efficiency, while wide/narrow bandwidth selection, multi-level fan control, automatic temperature detection, and multi-color backlighting provide greater control and usability. It also supports group, all, and selective calling functions, along with Stun/Kill safety features for added operational protection.
