The Yaesu FT-DX101MP is a high-end hybrid SDR transceiver designed for demanding amateur radio operators, covering HF, 50 MHz and 70 MHz bands. The MP version delivers up to 200 W output power and features an advanced architecture with dual independent receivers and built-in VC-Tune units for both MAIN and SUB.
Hybrid SDR technology combines a high-quality analog RF front end with digital signal processing, providing excellent dynamic range, strong signal handling capability and effective rejection of unwanted signals.
7-Inch Touch-Screen Display and Advanced Control
The transceiver is equipped with a 7-inch full-color touch-screen display, allowing intuitive control of operating functions, tuning and receiver parameters.
Selectable tuning steps down to 1 Hz in CW and SSB enable extremely precise frequency adjustment, ideal for DX operation, contesting and narrow-band CW work.
Transmitter Performance
The FT-DX101MP transmitter provides 200 W output in CW, SSB, FM, RTTY and PSK, and 50 W in AM. High carrier and unwanted sideband suppression ensure a clean and stable transmitted signal, even at high output power levels.
Supported operating modes include CW, AM, SSB (LSB/USB), FM, RTTY and PSK, making the transceiver suitable for both everyday operation and intensive contest use.
Dual Superheterodyne Receiver with High Selectivity
The receiver employs a dual superheterodyne architecture with two fully independent receivers (MAIN and SUB), each equipped with dedicated filters and factory-installed VC-Tune units.
High selectivity and sensitivity allow reliable reception even on crowded bands, improving adjacent signal separation and overall listening comfort.
Antenna Matching and Tuner
The transceiver is designed for a 50-ohm unbalanced antenna impedance and includes an automatic antenna tuner operating on HF and the 50 MHz amateur band, with a wide matching range depending on operating frequency.
Power Supply, Dimensions and Operating Conditions
The FT-DX101MP operates from AC 100–240 V using the external FPS-101 power supply, which also incorporates a built-in speaker. The specified operating temperature range is 0 °C to +50 °C.
